ROVAB's Privacy Policy
At ROVAB, we protect and respect your privacy in accordance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016. This privacy policy explains when and why we collect personal data, how we use it, under what conditions we may disclose it to others, and how we protect it. The privacy policy applies to the use of our products and services and to the measures we take to fulfill our commitments in customer and supplier contracts, as well as in sales and marketing. It also applies to those who work or seek employment at ROVAB.
Who are we?
ROVAB -Ramby Oljor & Verktyg AB is a family business with customers in various industrial segments, as well as lubricating railways and machinery in the Nordic region. For 27 years, we have offered products, services, and complete solutions to companies and individuals to extend the lifespan and increase the efficiency of equipment and applications. Our head office is located in Sweden, but sales are also conducted in Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The registered address of the head office is Löt Ramby 26, 749 51 Grillby, Sweden. When do we collect personal data about you?
- When you order our products and services.
- When we order goods/services from our suppliers.

Why do we collect and use personal data?
Primarily, we collect and use personal data to carry out sales/purchases, direct marketing, and customer service. We also collect personal data about suppliers, partners, and individuals seeking employment or working for our company.

Our legal basis for collecting personal data
Collection of personal data based on consent
Collection of personal data based on the data subject's consent will be done using consent forms where the data subject's consent is documented. The data subject's consent will always be documented and stored in our systems.

We use personal data to fulfill our obligations under contracts and agreements with customers, partners, suppliers, and employees.
Collection of personal data based on legitimate interest
We may use personal data if it is deemed to be of legitimate interest and if the data subjects' privacy interests do not outweigh it. To determine the legal basis for the collection of personal data, an assessment has typically been made in which a common interest between ROVAB and the individual has been identified. What type of personal data is collected?
We collect name, phone number, title, and email address, as well as your company's name and contact details including delivery address and invoice address. We may also collect feedback, comments, and questions from you in communication and activities related to the purchase or sale of our products and services, such as meetings, phone calls, documents, and emails. From our websites, we may collect the IP address and actions taken on the website.
If you upload photos or videos, post or add comments, etc., on our social media platforms or website, the information may be read by anyone with access to that location and used for purposes over which neither ROVAB nor you have any control. ROVAB therefore takes no responsibility for information you provide on our social media platforms or website.
If you apply for a job at ROVAB, we collect the information you provide during the application process.
ROVAB does not collect or process any special categories of personal data, e.g., public unique identifiers or sensitive personal data.
How long do we store your personal data?
We store personal data for as long as we deem necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the personal data was collected, while considering our need to be able to answer your questions or solve any problems, to be able to comply with legal requirements under applicable laws, to be able to meet any legal claims/complaints, and for protection purposes.
This means that we may retain your personal data for a reasonable period after your last contact with us. When the personal data we have collected is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted. We may process personal data for statistical purposes, but in that case, this data will be anonymized.
Your right to your personal data

- Right to request a copy of your personal data from ROVAB.
- Right to request that ROVAB corrects your personal data if it is inaccurate or outdated.

- If you wish to withdraw your consent to email marketing, you can use the "Unsubscribe" link for subscription settings found in, for example, newsletters we have sent to you, or by contacting us. Please note that you may still receive administrative messages from ROVAB, such as order confirmations, shipping information, or other relevant information related to our mutual business.
- Right to request that ROVAB provides you with your personal data and, if possible, forwards it directly (in a portable format) to another data controller if the processing is based on consent or contract.
- Right to request a restriction of further data processing if there is a dispute about the accuracy of the personal data or its processing.

We use cookies and web beacons (web navigation information, form information, and browser data) for the collection of information/data when you navigate to and on the company's websites.
