The Founder

Mikael Thorsell, owner and founder of ROVAB, has extensive Swedish and international experience in mechanical maintenance and component protection. Since its start in 1991, the company has been based in Grillby in Northern Mälardalen.

Unique in the Nordics

Rovab is the only company in the Nordic region that offers installation and continuous service of rail lubrication systems for railways. Our service teams have long experience in proactive maintenance and wear minimization for railways and can analyze the effectiveness of our products at each individual location.

Our History

ROVAB was founded in 1991 as a supplier of maintenance equipment for agricultural and construction machinery, with a portfolio based on specialized and highly effective lubricants imported from the American market.

Rovab was built as a family business and has since its inception been run by Mikael and his family, all of whom have roots in and are still involved in agricultural and construction work.

ROVAB Today

Today, ROVAB has grown and is one of Sweden's leading companies in maintenance technology and advanced maintenance products. Today, Rovab has a range based on high-quality equipment and lubricants from Europe and America, and offers comprehensive solutions across all major Swedish industries.

ROVAB is still a family business, and most of our staff, from the Service Team to marketing and sales, have their roots in the local area where ROVAB was founded.
