Air Sentry R-Series

<strong>Air Sentry® R-SERIES breathers</strong> prevent moisture and particles from destroying expensive equipment and are designed for mounting on reservoirs, gearboxes, or tanks.<br><br><strong>Gearboxes and hydraulic tanks</strong> have openings that allow air to vent in and out as fluid levels or temperature changes, but the air contains moisture and particles that over time severely damage the system. <strong>Air Sentry® R-Series</strong> stops intrusion through a 2-micron particle filter and a bed of highly absorbent silica gel that captures all moisture.<br><br><strong>Particles and moisture</strong> condense on the inside of the gearbox or hydraulic tank. Particle contamination blasts or erodes components, while moisture causes increased acidity and rust - these are among the biggest causes of premature wear problems and failures. Hydraulic systems, in particular, are sensitive: valves, seals, and other expensive parts need clean oil to function efficiently and to prevent spiraling maintenance and spare part costs.<br><br><strong>The Air Sentry® R-Series</strong> is designed for applications where gearboxes and tanks are exposed to continuous heavy vibrations, such as on rail maintenance vehicles, construction machinery, and vehicles in the mining industry. The breathers are easy to install on the equipment thanks to robust steel pipe threads and a metal-reinforced base plate that also makes used filters easy to unscrew and replace.
